As summer warmth of green and brown begins to fade away
the fall comes on your world in darkened shades of gray
nothing could'a told me what we were gonna have to lose
or make me not believe in the one that I would choose

I believe it is the way to be that when you plant the seed  
you toil for love and friendship to have in winters need
you think I'm gonna wander off as the summer comes to an end
It aint that easy when I count someone my friend

I always tried to tell you that you were really free
its you that built the prison walls, they didn't come from me

takes so much to time to build yourself a family and a friend
